Bible Reading Plan :: Discipleship Journal Plan

I have been thinking about different Bible reading plans recently and have decided to do the Discipleship Journal Bible Reading Plan. I landed on this one for a few reasons:

1) It goes through the Bible in one year.

2) Each month has 5 make up days just in case you get behind (and I always do).

3) You actually are reading 4 different passages each day (two from the Old Testament and two from the New Testament). This results in having a better appreciation for the unity and continuity of the Scriptures.

4) The fourth reason we chose this plan is because this is the reading plan that John Piper, a pastor that I highly respect, uses for his daily scripture reading. That means something, right?

Bethlehem Baptist Church has bookmarks that may help if you decide to do this reading plan (If you don’t mind sticking four bookmarks in your Bible). The bookmarks are meant to be double sided so print on both sides.
I am looking forward to this Bible reading plan and hope others of you find this tool useful!

Testifying to the gospel of the grace of God,
